Live performances

Live performances throughout the 10-day event are very common. Each year the Calgary Stampede brings back old crowd favorites and adds a few new shows as well. This year you can expect to see the usual Calgary Stampede Rodeo which has its own set of competition categories; these include barrel racing, tie-down roping, bull riding and many more! Next, check out this classic event that takes place yearly, the Calgary Stampede Evening Show. This evening show features two events: the GMC Rangeland Derby and the Bell Grandstand Show. And finally we have the best for last, the Dog Bowl is arguably one of the cutest events here where fluffy puppies perform agility tricks to impress everyone!

Of course, this stampede is grand and that’s only a couple of the live events. More can be found below.

The Big Four Roadhouse

The Big Four Roadhouse is ideal to end your long day out; this space is full of food, games, and live music! This all combines to make it a great space to unwind at the end of your big day at the stampede! To begin your night at the Roadhouse, grab some cool drinks and delicious food – such as BBQ platters or yummy desserts to share. Next, head over to their board game selection, choose a game, and place bets on the winner! They have tons of games including ping pong, air hockey, and shuffleboard. After hopefully winning those bets, you can go to the dancefloor and listen to some live music to end your night off!

The 2019 summer Calgary Stampede is guaranteed to be a great 10 days with events and activities like these. Remember, tourists and residents will be sure to fill up the area, so make sure you get tickets to the stampede as soon as you can and let your friends know too!
