How the Water Lantern Festival Works

The highlight of this family-friendly event is the launching of the water lanterns and watching them as they add a bit of sparkle in the lake. Participants are encouraged to write their wishes and dreams and even decorate their water lanterns however they want to. They will be given time to do the said decorating at 7:00 PM. One hour later, the water lanterns will then be released out into the water while spectators enjoy the view of the lanterns gently gliding through the shores and lighting up the evening.

An Environmentally Friendly Event
As fun as the event will be, the event organisers have pledged to make the event as environmentally friendly as possible. All water lanterns will be made of wood and rice paper, making them 100% eco-friendly. Additionally, tickets will cover the cost of clean up before and after the event where the event staff and team members will handle the clean up which will include the disposing of the water lanterns and the garbage around the area.
There will be something for everybody at the Water Lantern Festival as the event will cater to people of all ages. Food and music will be there to accompany the evening as the water lanterns float and add some sparkle to the coast while you end the summer with memories of this night of light and love.
