International Studies – Careers That Can Take You Around the World!

International studies major students are concerned with a variety of problems and their global existence. So, these issues may be broad and scope. For example, they could be related to politics, the environment, economics and more. Also, the issues could be related making it incredibly important for students in this major to develop a broad knowledge over their degree.

What will you study?

International studies major students will take courses in a variety of disciplines. Likely, their courses over the 4-year degree will be a combination of economics, politics, law, geography, and sociology. This is so they got a broad understanding of major topics and their effects on an international level.

What skills will you develop?

As an international studies major, you’ll develop some specific competencies as well as transferable skills. Both types of skills are essential for careers in the international relations area. So, here are some of the skills you’ll be developing throughout your studies.
