[AB] Calgary’s 5 Best Steakhouses you Need to Try

BY

If you are a meat lover who resides in Calgary, you are truly in luck! There are lots (and I mean LOTS) of tasty steakhouses located around every corner of Calgary some of which even offer delivery through apps!  The large presence of steakhouses has led to fierce culinary competition amongst these steakhouses. The only winner in such competitions is the customer that will receive the best steak of Calgary at locations such as the ones below.

1. Caesar’s Steakhouse

Ever since its establishment in 1972, the Caesar’s steakhouse has been one of the most beloved and old school steakhouse locations. What makes the steak truly stand out is the use of Alberta’s best-aged beef, individually cut to order and charbroiled on the open flame grill. The ambiance and modern structure of the restaurant also greatly improves the diners’ experience with its bright luxurious chandeliers and red cloth chairs. Check out their official website.

It was a delicious ‘Taste of Alberta Beef’ earlier tonight at the new @modernsteakca on Stephen Ave. The evening started off with a top notch cocktail @barmodern – the Lavender Mist 😍. Our first course was a beautiful Salmon Carpaccio. Next up was the Wagyu Dumplings that were perfectly paired with @vinelandestates Riesling. The star of the show was the Alberta Beef from @benchmark.angus, @brant_lake_wagyu and Pine Haven Farms served on a sizzling hot platter. 👌🏻 We feasted on the filet trio (filet from all three ranches), Modern Benchmark Tomahawk and Pine Haven Farms Petite Tender accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and Modern Caesar Salad. Loved the pairing with the @zuidemawineco Grenache! The decadent Chocolate Mousse Cake was the perfect ending to the night. Many thanks to @modernsteakca @parkerpr @newsbobb for hosting this feast! #hosted #yyceats #yycfood #yycliving #steak #albertabeef #modernsteakyyc #downtowncalgary #beefygoodness #steakhouse

The modern steakhouse is hands down one of the best amongst the competitors. In fact, they have won the YYC Steakhouse of the Year in 2016 all the way to 2019. What makes this place unique from the rest is the use of their very own prize-winning Black Angus Bull beef. And as the name suggests, the indoor environment takes on a very modern yet welcoming design. Check out their official website here.

Location: 107 10A St NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4M7

As once a great mind said, “The only time to eat diet food is while you’re waiting for the steak to cook”. The love for steak is endless in Alberta partially due to the immense amount of ranching and beef availability. As a result, there are a number of extremely high-quality steakhouses featuring classics as well as many other modern twists to such classics.
