Study in the Rocky Mountains

College of The Rockies was established in 1975. It is a degree-granting institution of higher learning. It is located in the southeastern corner of British Columbia, Canada. The College is the main center of the world-famous outdoor recreational environment. The area is surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and has well-known hot spring resorts, beautiful forests and the best ski areas in Canada.

The main campus of Rocky Mountain College is located in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Cranbrook is a modern city with a low cost of living, a safe, friendly, and relaxed lifestyle.

 

Every year, Rocky Mountain College provides services to nearly 2,100 full-time students and nearly 200 international students from more than 30 countries. The college adopts small class teaching, and every student can get the care and help of teachers and classmates.

The college tuition fee is also very advantageous, about 6-7000 dollars per semester. Students’ satisfaction with Rocky Mountain College is 94%, and their satisfaction with teaching quality is 96%. The college is known as “Canada’s Happiest University” and “Globally Satisfied University for International Students”.

In the past few years, a considerable number of international students have successfully transferred to BC’s major universities through Rocky Mountain College: including the University of British Columbia (UBC), Simon Fraser University (SFU) and the University of Victoria (UVic). 

As a member of BC’s public college/university credit transfer system (http://www.bccat.bc.ca), Rocky Mountain College’s university courses are the same as all public universities in the province, and students can easily transfer to those universities. Rocky Mountain College has also signed credit transfer agreements with famous Canadian universities (including: SFU, UVic, RRU, UNBC, etc.). According to these credit transfer agreements, all the credits of Rocky Mountain College graduates can be transferred to other prestigious Canadian schools, which is equivalent to “seamless connection.”

3. Engineering-Certificate (can be transferred to the following majors of UVic)

  • UVic Victoria University: Bachelor of Engineering-(Biomedicine, Civil Engineering, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical)

4. Fine Arts-certificate (can be transferred to the following universities and majors)

  • Emily Carr University: Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts
  • Alberta University of the Arts: Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Fine Arts
  • University of Alberta: Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design

5. Associate of Arts in Literature (can be transferred to the following majors in RRU)

  • Royal Roads University: Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication

6.  Associate of Science (can be transferred to the following majors in RRU)

  • Royal Roads University: Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Practice, Bachelor of Science (Environmental Management, Environmental Science), Bachelor of Science in Environmental Practice

7. Human Service Worker-Certificate (can be transferred to the following majors of UVic)

  • UVic Victoria University: Bachelor of Child and Youth Nursing, Bachelor of Social Work

8. Accounting-Diploma (can be transferred to the following universities and majors)

  • Athabasca University: Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of General Studies, Bachelor of Human Resources and Labor Relations,

What undergraduate majors does Rocky Mountain College offer?

  1. Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Admission conditions are loose, IELTS 6.0

2. Bachelor of Education

  • Cooperated with UVic Victoria University, studied at Rocky Mountain College for 4 years, and finally obtained a bachelor’s degree from Victoria University. This is a targeted training project in BC. (Admission to this major must meet the UVic Bachelor of Education admission requirements)

3. Bachelor of Science in Nursing

  • Cooperated with UVic Victoria University, studied at Rocky Mountain College for 4 years, and finally obtained a bachelor’s degree from Victoria University. This is a targeted training project in BC. IELTS 6.5, no single item less than 6.5.

Entry language requirements

  • IELTS 6.0 for undergraduate (partial), junior college, certificate courses, no less than 6.0 for individual items.
