The Features of University of Fraser Valley

Special program – Aviation

As the global airlines expand their fleets, the demand for flight professionals is significantly high in Canada and globally. The high employment rate and enviable income make aviation career a very appealing profession.

In partnership with renowned flight training companies, UFV offers a Bachelor of Business Administration Aviation degree to equip you with the flight and business skills you need to succeed in the aviation industry.

At the end of your studies, you have a university degree, as well as private and commercial pilot licenses certified by Transport Canada, and supplemented by both night and multi-engine instrument ratings. In your fourth year, you have the option to specialize in either heavy jet transport operations or professional flight instruction.

In the classroom, you gain all the knowledge necessary to pass your Transport Canada examinations, cover human factors affecting pilot decision-making, and learn how to be a valuable member of an airline crew. Normally, this training would take up to six years to complete, but at UFV, you can do it in four. Upon completion, you are a professional pilot, ready to provide leadership both on the ground and in the air and start your career in one of the most scarce and highest-paying professions.

There are a variety of career options for the graduates. In addition to commercial pilot, helicopter pilot, and corporate pilot, you can also choose from float plane operator, flight instructor, aerial fire fighter, airline manager, airport administrator and other careers.
