IRCC Hired 62 Additional Officers to Speed Up the Process of Family Class Overseas Applications

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, processing time of immigration, citizenship and refugee applications have been significantly delayed. To tackle processing delays, IRCC has hired 62 new full-time employees and will soon be opening a new office in New Waterford, Nova Scotia.

With the new hires and office, IRCC is aiming to get spousal application processing time back to 12-14 months.
