Saskatchewan Polytechnic was founded in 1988, formerly known as the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST). It is the largest public college in Saskatchewan, with a total of 4 campuses in Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and Moose Jaw.

RNIP (Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot)
RNIP is a five-year pilot residency program that helps remote areas and northern communities to attract and retain foreign skilled talents to meet the needs of local economic development and labor market. Saskatchewan Institute of Technology’s Moose Jaw campus is part of one of these 11 communities, allowing international students to have more options in career planning if they are interested in immigrating to Canada.
The project requirements are the following
- Schools and majors selected by international students
- Two or more years of coursework in selected community public schools and a Diploma
- Get a local full-time job offer
- Meet the minimum language requirements for the type of work (IELTS 4-5.5 points)
- Apply for and get recommendations from the community
