- Aircraft Structural Repair Technician
Overview
The Aircraft Structural Repair Technician program allows students to dive into the world of aviation repair. Through projects and hands-on experience, students will learn about the ins and outs of aircraft and how to repair, overhaul, and modify them following Canada’s standards of aviation safety. Upon graduating, students will receive 10 months toward a Transport Canada-issued Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License. They will also be prepared to start their careers as technicians in maintenance, repair, and overhaul organizations.

English language requirements
International applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in English in one of the following ways:
- A Grade 12 College Stream or University Stream English credit from an Ontario Secondary School, or equivalent, depending on the program’s Admission Requirements
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test with a minimum score of 79 for the Internet-based test (iBT), with test results within the last two years
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test with an overall score of 6.0 with no score less than 5.5 in any of the four bands, with test results within the last two years. SDS Program Requirements.
- An English Language Evaluation (ELE) at Fanshawe College with a minimum score of 70% in all sections of the test, with test results within the last two years

Aviation Technician – Aircraft Maintenance (Co-op)
Overview
The Aviation Technician – Aircraft Maintenance (Co-op) is a two-year Transport Canada-approved diploma program focusing on aircraft systems used in general aviation, corporate, transport category aircraft, and helicopters. In addition to exploring these topics, students will also be able to work with real airplanes to study propellers, wing aerodynamics, and more. Completion of this program will allow students to find careers in domestic and/or international aircraft maintenance, as well as other aviation- and aircraft manufacturing-related organizations.

Aviation Technician – Avionics Maintenance (Co-op)
Overview
The Aviation Technician – Avionics Maintenance (Co-op) is a two-year program in which students will learn about aircraft avionics systems used in general aviation and helicopters, among others. Students will familiarize themselves with how electronic communication and navigation systems work, and how to repair and maintain these systems for the aviation industry. Graduates of this program will be eligible to work at international avionics-approved shops and other aviation-related companies.
