Food

Tacofino Ocho

Enjoy a lineup of fire-grilled, char-roasted meat and vegetable dishes. Their tacos are (obviously) the most popular item on the menu, but you’ll be able to try a ton of other delicious Mexican foods too!

BETA5 Chocolates

Craving something sweet? BETA5’s award-winning chocolates and pastries have just about every sweet food you can imagine. From polygon bars to cream puffs, they’ve got you covered! 

Bibi’s Kitchen

Bibi’s Kitchen is a local restaurant serving a mix of Indian street food with a modern twist. With a 100% vegetarian menu and tons of vegan options, this restaurant caters to just about anyone looking for a good feast!

To Dine For Eatery

This small, family-owned burger joint serves some of the juiciest burgers in the area. But you can also order breakfast, sandwiches, salads, soups, and even a rotisserie chicken if you’re feeling it!

Hangout spots

Science World

This one’s a Vancouver classic. You’ll need tickets to enter and view the exhibitions at Science World, but you can have plenty of fun on their modern playground and sculptures. Plus, there’s a ton of green space to lie down on! 

Strathcona Park

Bring out your BBQs and skateboards! Strathcona Park is a popular hangout destination, especially in the summer. It’s a dog-friendly park, so expect to see many furry friends running around. 

False Creek inlet

Take a walk around the beautiful False Creek inlet. You’ll have views of the water, cityscape, bridges and beaches – all at once! 

The Hive Bouldering Gym

This gym’s like no other. It’s a vast space offering bouldering (climbing) courses, youth camps & events for just about anyone! Bouldering courses are for climbers of all skill levels.

Columbia College is a private, non-profit institution offering various academic programs and courses to students in Vancouver, British Columbia. This is considered a well-respected and dynamic institution, established in 1936 and has since provided students with quality education and opportunities to achieve their goals.

As a two-year university transfer college, Columbia College in Vancouver offers a range of courses, including arts and sciences, business and technology, health sciences, and education. The college emphasizes hands-on learning and practical experience, and many programs include opportunities for students to participate in co-op placements, internships, and other experiential learning activities.

University Transfer Programs

To help students transition into other areas of academic learning, Columbia College also hosts several programs:

  1. 4 High School programs will help secondary students proceed to the University Transfer program at Columbia College.
  1. The Associate Degree program helps students with an Associate Degree enter the third year of a university’s Bachelor’s Degree program.
  1. The University Transfer program allows students to take up to 60 credits at the first- and second-year level at Columbia College and then transfer those credits to any university across Canada.
  1. The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program prepares students for academic studies in a collaborative and supportive setting. Students must submit IELTS/TOEFL scores or write the school’s Language Writing Assessment to determine their English level before being admitted into the program. 

Columbia College is committed to providing students with a supportive and inclusive learning environment and offers various services and resources to help students succeed. This includes academic advising, tutoring, and career services, as well as student clubs and organizations. The college also offers flexible scheduling options, including evening and weekend classes, to accommodate students with busy schedules.
