1. Continuing Studies Diploma in Real Estate – 2 years

  • Thorough curriculum designed for success in the Canadian real estate business.
  • Specialized studies in Appraisal, Property Management, Construction & Development, and Real Estate Investing.
  • Courses scheduled on weekday evenings (6:30 pm – 9:30 pm) and Saturdays.

  • BSAD 1020 – Negotiation & Dispute Resolution
  • GBSC 1004 – Business Communications
  • ENTR 1009 – How to Start Your Own Business

Program information

2. Real Property Certificate Program – 1 year

  • Intensive, one-year full-time program exploring various topics in Canadian real estate.
  • Curriculum covers similar subject matter as the Diploma in Real Estate.
  • Courses scheduled on weekday evenings (6:30 pm – 9:30 pm) and Saturdays.

3. Construction Standards Certificate Program – 1 year

  • Comprehensive program providing practical grounding in construction management.
  • Serves as an educational pathway for careers in construction and development.
  • Courses scheduled on weekday evenings (6:30 pm – 9:30 pm), Fridays, and Saturdays.

  • PROP 1085 – Estimating Construction Costs

Admission Requirements

  • BC Grade 12 graduation (or equivalent) or successful completion of one full academic year at a recognized post-secondary institution.

Application deadlines

  • August 15 (January-April intake)
  • December 15 (May-August intake)
  • April 15 (September-December intake).

English language requirements

  • Successful completion of English First Peoples 12, English Studies 12, or Literary Studies 12 (or equivalent)
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary English or Communications course for which Langara College awards transfer credit
  • *IELTS Academic – Overall: 6.5, with no bands less than 6.0
  • *TOEFL iBT – Overall: 80, Writing: 20, Reading: 20, Listening: 18, Speaking: 18
  • *CAEL – Overall: 60, Essay: 60
  • **Duolingo English Test – 110

*Please note that assessment test scores are valid for two years from the date they were taken. 

**Duolingo test scores must be sent directly to Langara College. Submission instructions can be viewed here.  

Course recognition

Langara College’s real estate courses are recognized by various institutions and organizations in British Columbia and Canada, providing opportunities for credit transfers, licenses, designations, and accreditation.
