As the countdown to the end of the year begins, cities across Canada are gearing up for spectacular New Year’s Eve celebrations, each with its own unique charm and festivities. There’s something for everyone to welcome the arrival of 2024. Join us as we explore the diverse and exciting ways Canadians bid farewell to the old year and embrace the new.

Calgary

Join Calgarians in welcoming 2024 with a stunning midnight fireworks display synchronized to music on CJSW 90.9 FM. Enjoy the show from any location with a view of the park or from home via livestream at calgary.ca/NYE.

When: Sunday, December 31, 2023 | 11:55 PM

Where: Prince’s Island Park – 698 Eau Claire Ave SW, Calgary

*For safety purposes, Crescent Road N.W. will be closed from Fourth Street to First Street N.W. from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Toronto

2024 New Year’s Eve Fireworks

Welcome the arrival of 2024 with a festive blend of fireworks, DJs, food trucks, and live performances at three vibrant locations along Toronto’s downtown waterfront.

When: December 31 | 10 pm – Midnight

Where: visible from anywhere with a view of Toronto’s inner harbour.

Admission: Free

Brampton New Year’s Eve Fireworks & Celebrations

Countdown to 2024 in style in Downtown Brampton! Embrace the New Year with ice skating in Gage Park, a live concert, and a breathtaking ten-minute fireworks show at midnight.

When: Sunday, December 31 | 9 pm – Midnight

Where: Garden Square – 12 Main St N, Brampton

Admission: Free

New Year’s Eve Mississauga Fireworks & Celebrations

Celebrate the arrival of 2024 at Celebration Square with a DJ skate party, vibrant lights, food trucks, and a spectacular midnight fireworks display! Canadian music icon Shawn Desman, hailing from Mississauga, takes center stage with his iconic pop hits. Joining him are R&B sensation Shay Lia and rising Afro-beats star Nonso Amadi, promising a night of continuous grooves! Brace yourself for the excitement of Mississauga’s 50th anniversary kickoff, featuring two thrilling extreme snowmobile shows right in the heart of the Square!

Where: Mississauga Celebration Square – 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga

Montreal

Experience New Year’s Eve in Montreal, a popular annual event drawing over 70,000 revelers to Old Montreal. The countdown show at Place Jacques-Cartier features Québec’s renowned artists at 10 pm. After the concert, welcome the New Year with fireworks and dance at nearby clubs. Join Montreal residents on the main squares of Old Montreal or head to the Old Port and Jacques Cartier Pier for a crowded but picturesque view of bright fireworks along the waterways.

Ottawa

Hogman-eh! (December 31, 2023–January 1, 2024)

Celebrate the New Year with friends and family at Hogman-eh!, a Scottish-style Hogmanay festivity. For the youngest revelers, there’s a Kids Countdown at 7 pm. At midnight, TD Lansdowne Park will light up with dazzling fireworks. Enjoy Scottish cuisine, drinks, musical entertainment, and dancing—what more could you ask for to make this night even better?

Vancouver

Unfortunately, Vancouver’s NYE fireworks got canceled again, but there are smaller fireworks on Cypress Mountain and Grouse Mountain.
