About the competition
Now marking its 24th anniversary, Canada’s Top 100 Employers project is a nationwide contest to identify the employers who excel in providing outstanding workplaces for their staff, leading in their respective industries.
How are the winners chosen?
Employers undergo an assessment by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers based on eight criteria that have remained unchanged since the project’s initiation:
(1) Workplace;
(2) Work Atmosphere & Social;
(3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits;
(4) Vacation & Time Off;
(5) Employee Communications;
(6) Performance Management;
(7) Training & Skills Development;
(8) Community Involvement.
They are evaluated against other organizations in their sector to ascertain which ones provide the most innovative and forward-looking programs.
