Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has claimed the top spot as the number one airport in North America at the Skytrax World Airport Awards held in Frankfurt, Germany, on April 17, 2024! Did you know?

YVR, Canada’s second busiest airport, runs a 24/7 wildlife management program due to the proximity of wildlife to runways and taxi areas, posing risks to safety and efficiency. Migratory birds are a particular concern. The YVR Wildlife Team utilizes non-lethal tools like trained dogs, falconry, pyrotechnics, and avian radar to patrol the airfield year-round and ensure safety.
