Exploring the High Job Security & Job Opportunities of an Automotive Parts Career With VCC’s Automotive Parts & Service Technology Program 

For students interested in the advancing field of automotive wholesaling part supplies/installation, Vancouver Community College (VCC) offers a one-of-a-kind program, the Automotive Parts and Service Management Diploma. This diploma allows students to graduate and immediately begin filling the labour shortages that this job secure industry faces. Graduates of this program have the ability to work as an Auto Partsperson or an Auto Service Advisor. Students in this program learn how to oversee auto parts inventory, resell parts, and efficiently communicate with customers and within the industry.

Why is This Industry Important?

Automotive wholesaling and parts providers ensure a cohesive flow of parts and components to car manufacturers and repair shops. The automotive wholesaling part supply/service industry is essential for keeping vehicles on the road, supporting manufacturing operations, and allowing for innovation within the automotive sector. It offers various benefits for those involved, and is currently one of the top seven largest industries in Canada. This industry helps consumers save money, and provides opportunities for entrepreneurship.
