IRCC recently announced new regulations for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program.
Starting November 1, if you apply for a study permit, certain programs will no longer qualify for the PGWP, depending on the field of study. For details on these changes, please refer to the updated information here.
VCC has provided us with a list of programs that will remain eligible for the PGWP upon completion. These programs are in fields with significant labor shortages in Canada.

- Bachelor of Hospitality Management
- Clean Energy Technology Diploma
- Cosmetology Diploma
- Computer Systems Technology Diploma

- Cybersecurity Governance, Risk and Compliance PDD
- Dental Technology Sciences Diploma
- Electronics Repair Technology Diploma
- Global Supply Chain Management Post-Degree Diploma
- Graphic Design Diploma
- Health Care Assistant Diploma
- Heavy Mechanical Technology Diploma
- Hospitality Management Diploma
- Hospitality Management Post-Degree Diploma
- Marketing Technology Diploma
- Network Technology, Administration and Security PDD
