Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is expanding its Richmond farm with a $251,000, three-year grant from TD Bank Group, supporting new cultural learning spaces such as an Indigenous Medicine Garden and Traditional Chinese Medicine Garden. The initiative connects cultural knowledge, sustainability and hands-on learning, while highlighting two related KPU programs: the Traditional Chinese Medicine – Acupuncture Diploma and the Bachelor of Applied Science in Sustainable Agriculture.

🌿 Traditional Chinese Medicine – Acupuncture Diploma

KPU’s Traditional Chinese Medicine – Acupuncture Diploma combines traditional Chinese medicine concepts with Western biomedical science, preparing students with theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience in acupuncture and patient care. Students also gain hands-on experience through KPU’s on-campus student teaching clinic under the supervision of qualified practitioners.

• Credential: Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine – Acupuncture
• Program requirement:
  • Meet KPU’s undergraduate English proficiency requirement and applicable program-specific admission requirements. 
  • An interview and/or letters of reference may be requested; additional health and safety documentation is required after a conditional offer.
• Program length: 2-year accelerated program / 6 semesters, full-time
• Intake: Fall (September)
• Campus: KPU Richmond
• Program credits: 86 credits
